Start Your Engines for Youth Savings Month! 🏁
April is Credit Union Youth Month, and Our Community Credit Union is celebrating all month long! Kids can stop by any OURCU branch to enjoy fun in‑branch giveaways and take part in our Coloring Contest for a chance to win a racing‑themed prize basket. Print off a coloring sheet, color it and submit it at any OURCU location OR share a photo of the finished masterpiece on Facebook or Instagram using #ourcuyouthmonth!
Chances of winning depend on the total number of entries received. Get creative, have fun, and celebrate Youth Month with us!
Special Youth Month Celebration
We’re also hosting a special Youth Month celebration on April 15th from 3:00–5:00 PM at the Mountain View Branch, made even sweeter thanks to our friends at Kona Ice of Yelm! As part of their nationwide Tax Day event, “No Taxation Without Relaxation,” the Kona Ice truck will be on site serving FREE Kona Ice for families to enjoy.
Local teen sprint car racer Destry Miller will be on site with his real sprint car, giving kids and families the chance to:

🏁 Take photos and talk all things racing
It’s a perfect pit stop for families and a fun way to bring our race‑car‑themed Youth Savings Month to life.
Kids will be invited to participate in a short, optional video activity where they can share their thoughts on saving money, credit unions, and what they’re learning about finances.
Our OURCU pit crew will also be on site with fun giveaways, smiles, and encouragement for young savers of all ages.

Our Community Credit Union branch locations are hosting FREE paper shredding events where you can safely destroy your documents containing sensitive and personal information. Lemay, a professional document destruction service with a mobile shredding unit will be on site for service. Bring a donation of canned, non-perishable food with you to the event and we will deliver it to our local food banks!
