Championing Local Law Enforcement K9 Programs

Our Community Credit Union (OURCU) has long been a pillar of support for local communities, and their dedication to enhancing public safety is evident through their robust support of local law enforcement K9 programs. Recognizing the critical role that K9 units play in maintaining safety and security, OURCU has made significant contributions to ensure these programs thrive.

Most recently donating $18,000 to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office to assist them with the purchase and training of K9 Roman, a new Dutch shepherd that will train with K9 Handler, Deputy Charles Taylor.

OURCU's commitment to K9 units is demonstrated through various initiatives and partnerships. They have provided essential funding for the acquisition and training of K9 officers, ensuring that law enforcement agencies have the resources needed to deploy these highly skilled dogs effectively. This support extends in varying ways to covering costs for veterinary care, specialized equipment, food for the K9s, and ongoing training, which are crucial for the K9 units' operational readiness.

OURCU remains committed to supporting local law enforcement programs in the future, ensuring that these vital units continue to receive the support they need to protect and serve the community effectively. By championing these programs, OURCU not only helps enhance public safety but also helps strengthens the bond between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
